Hi, I'm Mason Obegi.

Web designer & software engineer · Camas, WA

I design and build custom websites for small businesses around Camas, Vancouver and Portland — fast, easy to find on Google, and built around your business rather than a template, with no monthly platform rent and no cut of your sales. Your domain, your content and your customers stay yours. I also take full software from idea to shipped: frontend, backend, data, and deployment.

What clients say.

I had a great experience working with Mason on our website. He was able to take our ideas and turn them into a professional, polished site incredibly quickly. What stood out most was how responsive and receptive he was throughout the process. Whenever we had changes or wanted to try something different, he was quick to make adjustments and make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it.The whole process was smooth, efficient, and much easier than I expected. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for someone to build a professional website without making the process complicated or time-consuming.

I highly recommend Mason Obegi for professional website design and development. He built our website while we were vacationing outside the country and worked with us day and night to make sure everything was set up properly. From start to finish, Mason was professional, patient, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to listen to our questions and ideas, explained the pros and cons of different options, and guided us step by step through the entire process. We are extremely pleased with our finished website and excited about the additional business opportunities it provides for our company. Mason genuinely cares about his clients and their businesses, and we would gladly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, reliable, and talented website designer.

I'm a web designer and software engineer in Camas, Washington — a WSU Data Analytics graduate and a Quality Engineer at HP. I build internal web tools, test-automation systems, and data infrastructure by day, and websites for local businesses the rest of the time.

I work across the stack in TypeScript, React, Node, and Next.js, with a data and ML background in Python and R.

What you don't see.

You can judge a design from a screenshot. You cannot judge any of this, and it is what decides whether the site still works in three years.

On every site I build

  • Google can read it properly — one correct address per page, a sitemap that keeps itself current, and your business described the way search engines expect.
  • Suspected spam is held for review, never silently deleted — a real customer's message cannot quietly vanish.
  • Every page served over a modern encrypted connection, with the security headers browsers look for.
  • Something checks your site every five minutes — not that the page loads, but that the database behind it still answers. If it stops, I am told, and usually before you would have noticed.

When your site includes an owner dashboard

  • You edit your own site, and nothing you write is lost in an update — your words and pictures live in a real database, not buried in the code.
  • The backup restores, images and all. Most sites have a backup nobody has ever tried.
  • Repeated wrong password attempts get locked out.
  • Uploads are checked by what they actually contain, not by what the filename claims.

The dashboard comes with the Business tier and up — see what each tier includes.

I do this by day, too

Client sites are not a side hustle I picked up — building and testing software is my job.

Oct 2025 – PresentHP

Quality Engineer III

  • Design and develop internal web applications to host automation tooling, giving testers a central place to launch, monitor, and share programs across the QE org.
  • Build automation systems that replace repetitive manual testing processes, improving coverage and freeing engineering time.
  • Rebuilt a degraded Power BI reporting database from the ground up, restoring reliable team-wide reporting on test results and product metrics.
